Abstract Submission ADVICE
An abstract template is provided as a separate file below and this should be adhered to. Abstracts and posters from the WoSOA study day 2014 can be viewed at the bottom of this page as examples of past work.
All accepted abstracts will be published on the WoSOA website. (NB WoSOA reserves the right to refuse publication, e.g. where there are major concerns over ethics and/or content or where the guidelines have not been adhered to).
The closing date for WoSOA symposium abstract submission has been extended to Friday 6th October 2023. Any abstract received after this time will not be accepted.
Each abstract should be submitted as a Word file, labelled as “1st authorsurname-brief topic” (e.g. “Smith-morphine”) and emailed to wosoasubmission@gmail.com.
After the deadline, a preliminary review of the abstracts received will determine which ones are to be accepted for presentation at the WoSOA Symposium 2023.
Authors of abstracts will be contacted via e-mail to tell them if their abstracts have been accepted. Successful authors will be invited to present a poster and may be asked questions about their work at the poster session. The top submissions will be invited to present their work as an oral presentation at the meeting.
Posters should be up to A1 size (single sheet of paper/fabric 59.4cm x 84cm) and orientated in portrait (not landscape) view. Any posters not meeting the criteria will not be displayed. All presenters must pay for registration at the meeting.
In preparing your submission you are strongly encouraged to look at the scoring guides for assessing abstracts and poster presentations that the judges will use when reviewing your work.
